Wargaming the Franco Prussian War #2

Essex Miniatures 15mm Franco Prussian War Command Stand
After due consideration* I have made a small change to my choice of scale for the Franco Prussian War...15mm.

*In this instance "due consideration" was me finding a large biscuit tin stuffed with even more 15mm figures covering a number of 19th Century conflicts.  Compared with the relatively paltry pile of 28mm figures I was shamed into this decision.

Here's some I prepared earlier!

  1. 15mm is a great choice for this period. Many manufacturers from which to choose. Looking forward to this project although your 40mm Frenchman was spectacular.

    1. 90% Essex for the FPW but the tin contained Freikorps15, Mirliton and Old Glory 15s as well.

  4. Nicely painted Matt, I sold my 28mm stuff fully intending to go 15mm as the 28mm games just did not feel big enough and had become very samey, alas it never happened,

  5. Phil, the terrible truth is that although I knew I had some 15mm I did not realise I had literally thousands of figures! On reflection the half dozen poses in the Foundry range for example may have got frustrating in the end!
