There will not be any new posts this year so may I take this opportunity to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy and peaceful New Year.
And remember that while you can never be overdressed to refight a battle, it is always better to leave your horse outside or else the beast will eat your trees. And knock over your Scotch.
The Seasons Greetings to you and yours , Cheers Tony
ReplyDeleteAh!
ReplyDeleteLast Xmas...
It wasn’t the spilt scotch that bothered me...
It was the terrain feature on the carpet...
Have a splendid one...
All the best. Aly
Have a mighty fine Christmas Matt.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip about indoor horses.

Merry Christmas Matt. Funny enough I posted that self same image on the Napoleonic Wargamers FB page only two days ago, but your one is much sharper. Got over 200 likes and almost 50 comments. It's from the Sunday Times magazine 1971 apparently, I know I saw it at the time but that wold have made me 13 years old. There were a few slightly disturbing comments re the woman and the horse but all good banter!
ReplyDeleteI'd never seen it before until my daughter found it researching her Art homework. Her one was a bit grainy but I found this one instead.
DeleteSince then I have seen it somewhere else- so its obviously doing the rounds!
Wargaming chap seems to be losing the battle. Horsey and lady are clearly combining their forces to flank him ;)
