My new department was in a bit of a mess so I have had some long, long hours to put in at work. Hopefully things will calm down soon and I can get a little painting time in, probably some Franco Prussian or Crimean War figures.
In the meantime here is one of the illustrations that hooked me into the 19th Century period.
Superb illustration! This would have hooked me too.
ReplyDeleteHope you have time for the hobby soon.

I keep looking at the new Footsore miniatures 28mm Franco-Prussian War French. This does not help my resolve to not buy them one bit!
ReplyDeleteKnow how you are feeling Matt, updated my blog after a month's hiatus.
ReplyDeleteI am trying not to look at FPW pics, to avoid temptation too, Arghh!
Gents,
ReplyDeleteThe Franco Prussian War continues to fascinate me and I think I have finally come full circle on my choice of scale and manufacturer for the project - eventually I will have enough painted up for a post!
Agreed though, Footsore Miniatures do look like something really special.
Matt
Nah - Sudan with Jaclex - I want to see them! :o)
ReplyDeleteThat is a fantastic looking picture Matt. We are getting ready to use the excellent Regimental Fire and Fury rules for use with Steve Y's collection. Look forward to seeing your project grow, as long as the Sudan stays the main focus :-)
ReplyDeleteCarlo - it absolutely still is. My weeks "uninterrupted painting" last week was however cancelled due to work once more.
